しほのやまさしてのいそになく*ちとり/君かみよをはやちよとそなく

Transliteration

KKS VII: 345 shio no yama / sashide no iso ni / sumu {naku} chidori / kimi ga miyo wo ba / yachiyo to zo naku

Translation

KKS VII: 345 the plovers that dwell {cry} in the jutting crags of Shio Mountain cry out yachiyo, may our lord reign for eight thousand years

KKS VII: 345 the plovers on the / jutting crags beneath briny / Shio Mountain cry / out “May the years of your life / number eight thousands and more” (Rodd 2017, p. 146)
