大納言経信/定/ねのひするみかきのうちのこまつはら/ちよをはほかのものとやはみる権中納言道俊/定/阝/ねのひするのへのこまつをうつしうえて/としのをなかくきみそひくへき

SKKS VII: 728 ne no hi suru / mikaki no uchi no / komatsubara / chiyo woba hoka no / mono to ya wa miru

gonchūnagon michitoshi
SKKS VII: 729 ne no hi suru / nobe no komatsu wo / utsushiuwete / toshi no wo nagaku / kimi zo hikubeki

Translation

SKKS VII: 728 -Minamoto no Tsunenobu. observing this Day / of the Rat, little pines within the sacred fence, could / we see them as other than / a sign of a thousand-year reign
SKKS VII: 729 –[Fujiwara no] Michitoshi, Provisional Middle Counselor . observing this Day / of the Rat we transplant small / pines from the fields-- / surely our lord will draw out / a string of years without end (Rodd 2015, pp. 299-300)
