朝日かけ匂へる山のさくら花/つれなく消ぬ雪かとそ見る

Transliteration

SKKS I: 98 asahi kage / nioeru yama no / sakurabana / tsurenaku kienu / yuki ka to zo miru

Translation

SKKS I: 98 the cherry blossoms / on the mountains, radiant / in the morning sun-- / I thought them white banks of snow / refusing to melt away (Rodd 2015, p. 46)
