Translation

GSS III: 131 The jewelled willow / Woven from thread by warblers / Or so it is said: / Don’t blow and ruin the weave, / O spring wind from the mountains!
He saw the cherry blossoms fall
Mitsune
GSS III: 132 When did it happen, / They seem to have all scattered, / The cherry blossoms: / Now only as memory / Does their color keep appearing.

At a place where Prince Atsumi was viewing flowers
Minamoto no Nakanobu
GSS III: 133 I will forget / The sorrow of their falling / What they call “pathos” / I will instead lodge within / The cherry blossoms still bloomed.

Seeing cherry blossoms fall
Poet unknown
GSS III: 134 If the pink color / Of the clothing that I wear / Has sufficient depth, / Then the passing days of spring / I have no need to regret.

In a year where there was an intercalary third month, around the time of promotion announcements, he sent this [along with a request to the house of the Minister of the Left]
GSS III: 135 [At least in a year / That is progressing forward / With a great excess, / I wish that I could surely / Find a way to meet the spring.]
