しのはしよいしまつたひの谷川/も/瀬をせくにこそ水まさりけれ
Transliteration
SKKS XII: 1097 shinobaji yo / ishimazutai no / tani kawa mo / se wo seku ni koso / mizu masarikere
Translation
SKKS XII: 1097 it cannot be curbed-- / through narrow rocky channels / the river rushes / down the ravine, when waters / are stanched their level rises (Rodd 2015, p. 451)
