たちわかれいなはの山の峰におふる/まつとしきかはいまかへりこむ

Transliteration

KKS VII: 365 tachiwakare / inaba no yama no / mine ni ouru / matsu to shi kikaba / ima kaerikomu (McCullough 1985, p. 88)

Translation

KKS VII: 365 though I must depart / I shall hurry home if I / hear you wait for me / patient as the pines that grow / on Mount Inaba where I go (Rodd 2017, p. 152)

KKS VII: 365 I must leave you now, / to journey to Inaba, / where pines top the peaks, / but I will return at once / if you say you pine for me. (McCullough 1985, p. 88)
